General Session - Mike Bongiovanni, Sr. V.P. of Sales Today’s general session began with Mike Bongiovanni, Sr. V.P. of Sales at ACCPAC International, describing his vision of success and the high level of support ACCPAC is prepared to give their partners to ensure the partners' success. Mike clearly painted the steps to success as three-fold: Vision, Planning, and Execution. ACCPAC’s vision for success is the total company commitment to end-to-end business management applications. Partnership 2002 was loaded with exciting announcements that support this vision including: ACCPAC Exchange, low cost EDI management via the Internet, ACCPAC support for the Linux desktop, ACCPAC Pro Series 7.0, which supports the MS-SQL database, eCRM for Pro Series, ACCPAC Business Analysis Suite, and ACCPAC Advantage Series 5.0, which is fully web-based. Mike concluded by describing ACCPAC’s plans to execute on their vision and to support their partners with a variety of programs. Each partner has a Channel Marketing Representative and is supported by the Partner Development Group. ACCPAC has built a team of seven strategic sales people in the Partner Development Group who are available at no charge to help partners in all aspects of the sales cycle. In addition, the professional services group is comprised of consultants who are available for implementation assistance. ACCPAC is committed to assisting partners from presales to post sales. It was clear from this presentation that ACCPAC is completely devoted to serving their business partners from end-to-end! Brian Tracy Motivates Us All Mike was followed by the dynamic speaker, Brian Tracy who delivered a motivational speech to empower the ACCPAC partner audience. Tracy reinforced Bongiovanni’s steps to success, but primarily emphasized the need to take action on a plan. He pointed out that most people never act upon their plan. The top ten percent of successful business owners have future orientation, are goal oriented, solution oriented, results oriented, and growth oriented. Mr. Tracy challenged the audience to write down ten goals, set deadlines, write down all the steps needed to reach the goals, organize the steps, and take action. The message he repeated over and over: Do something, even if it is just one little thing, everyday to move towards your goals! - END - |
