To help you better understand the underlying technology of an accounting software package, I highly recommend that you first read the following articles:

What is a 32-bit application
-
http://www.accountingsoftwareadvisor.com/topics/32bit.htm

Programming Language -  C++ and Delphi

Database - Pervasive SQL  2000i

Source Code - Is not sold.

Testing - I do not yet have details of Best Software's testing procedures.

Note: Best Software, Inc., does not support Microsoft Windows XP as an operating system for BusinessWorks v12. Additionally, Best no longer recommends running BusinessWorks v12 on Windows 2000. If you are considering migration to these operating systems, Best strongly recommends that you upgrade to BusinessWorks Gold, which is designed to run in a 32-bit environment.
