David Dennis is the group product manager for Microsoft^® Business Solutions Professional Services Automation. Dennis is responsible for Professional Services Automation pricing, product management, positioning, requirements definition and training strategy.

David told us about the Professional Services Automation solution that will integrate features from Solomon with features of Microsoft Project.  We talked about the differences between the information needed by project stakeholders and the often competing desires of the project manager and the accountant.  In many cases, the information from accounting is not timely enough for the project manager and at the same time, information received from a project manager is not accurate enough for the accountant.  By providing web access to project information, facilitating time sheet entries for remote employees, and by giving the project manager strong scheduling and contract management tools, maybe both camps can finally find common ground.
