Local CPA firms are an excellent source of new clients, unfortunately CPAs can often be a pain to work with. Basically, you want to get your name known and develop a good reputation among the CPA community - this means supporting their conferences with trade show booths, giving out T-shirts and other tchatchkas, joining their society (includes free mailing list - well worth it), lecturing at the chapter meeting breakfast, publishing articles in their newsletters, take CPAs to lunch just to get to know them (ask them if any clients are having any accounting system problems), etc.
